🇬🇧 When Perfection Meets 12,000 Hours: Why Ringbrothers' Aston Martin "Octavia" Stole the SEMA Show

The Ultimate Restomod Inspiration: Rods N Mods at SEMA 2025

The SEMA Show is the global epicenter of automotive ingenuity, and for us at Rods N Mods, it was an incredible experience showing off three of our best custom builds. But even surrounded by the world's finest vehicles, one car stopped the entire show cold: the 1971 Aston Martin DBS "Octavia," built by the legendary Ringbrothers.

We believe true excellence demands recognition, and the Octavia sets a new benchmark for what a ground-up custom build should be.

The Metrics of Automotive Art: Over 12,000 Hours of Craftsmanship

When we talk about a custom ground-up build, we mean a project where virtually every component is engineered, fabricated, and perfected. The Ringbrothers' Octavia defines this:

  • Total Man-Hours: Over 12,000 hours were poured into the design, engineering, and fabrication of this single vehicle. To put that in perspective, that’s nearly two full years of non-stop work for a single master craftsman.

  • The Body: The entire body was meticulously reimagined in carbon fiber, widened by 8 inches in the front and 10 inches in the rear for an utterly unique, muscular stance.

  • The Irony of Power: The quintessential British grand tourer is now powered by a supercharged Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 engine, delivering over 805 horsepower in street tune. This beautiful fusion of English elegance and American muscle is peak restomod genius.

  • The Details: From the custom Roadster Shop chassis to the Brembo brakes and the playful "Aston Martini" valve covers, every millimeter of this vehicle is a bespoke work of art.

The Octavia isn't just a car; it's a moving testament to the precision, patience, and passion that defines world-class fabrication.
